Catawba’s Nathan Zuzga named Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Catawba College senior forward Nathan Zuzga (Troy, Michigan/Troy HS) is this week's South Atlantic Conference men's soccer Player of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
Zuzga earns SAC men's soccer Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and the third time in his career. He scored both goals in a 2-1 upset of number 10 Lincoln Memorial on Friday, helping the Catawba Indians hand the Railsplitters their first loss of the season
The LMU match-winner was Zuzga's third of the season. Earlier in
the week, he assisted on all three goals in a 3-1 win over Francis
Marion on Tuesday that snapped Catawba's five-match losing streak.
A three-time All-SAC performer, Zuzga has scored a team-leading 10
goals and has added seven assists this season.
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
