Lincoln Memorial’s Renato Segalla Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Lincoln Memorial University's Renato Segalla (Santo Andre, Brazil) has been named South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced.
Last week Segalla helped the Railsplitters upset third-ranked
Tusculum College 6-1 in Greeneville, Tennessee. In that match the
junior midfielder had three goals and assisted another for a total
of seven points. On Saturday, Segalla and the Railsplitters
traveled to Newberry, South Carolina and knocked off Newberry
College 3-1 to remain undefeated in South Atlantic Conference play
at 2-0 and to move LMU's overall record to 5-1-1 on the year.
Segalla is currently ranked second on the Railsplitter squad in goals scored and total points and he now becomes the first LMU men's soccer player to be named Player of the Week this season
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
