Carson-Newman’s Marcus Cabralis Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - On the heels of back-to-back wins last week over non-conference opponent Concord University (6-1) and conference opponent Catawba College (4-0), Carson-Newman's Marcus Cabralis (Trinidad and Tobago) has been named South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Last week Cabralis led the Eagles to a 2-0 mark with a pair of goals in Saturday's 4-0 win at home over Catawba College. In addition, the 5-8 senior midfielder added two shots in the 6-1 win over Concord.
The C-N men are currently ranked No. 25 is this week's NSCAA
Top-25 poll at 8-2 overall and remain unbeaten in league play with
a 5-0 conference mark.
On Wednesday evening, the Eagles will play host to 7th-ranked and east Tennessee-rival Tusculum College on the C-N campus. First touch set for 7:00 p.m. under the lights at McCown Field.
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
