Pair of Hat Tricks Earn MHC’s Mullen, TC’s James Soccer Player of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Having both recorded hat tricks in games last week, Mars Hill's Alex Mullen and Tusculum's Tramicka James have been selected as the SAC Soccer Players of the Week.

Mullen led Mars Hill to a 2-0 record last week, helping the Lions remain undefeated in conference play.

Against Newberry, Mullen scored in the 34th minute as the Lions won, 4-1. He followed that up with his first career hat trick in a 5-0 win over Brevard. His goals came in the 34th, 49th, and 55th minutes, respectively.

James posted her third career hat trick as the Pioneers improved to 2-0 in the SAC with a 3-0 win over Newberry on Saturday. James scored in the 19th, 25th and 57th minutes to increase her season total to nine goals through Tusculum's first nine matches.

James has three multi-goal games this season and has scored at least once in five matches.
