Brevard’s Stubbs, Queens' Foil Selected as SAC Soccer Players of the Week
Brevard freshman Rhem Stubbs and Queens senior Brooke Foil have been voted as the first SAC Soccer Players of the Week of the 2013 season, the conference office announced Tuesday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Brevard freshman Rhem Stubbs and Queens senior Brooke Foil have been voted as the first SAC Soccer Players of the Week of the 2013 season, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Stubbs got his collegiate career off to a huge start on Saturday in a 2-1 BC win over Erskine. He scored 40 minutes into the match to put the Tornados up 1-0, then headed in the game-winner off a free kick in the second overtime period.
Subbs was one of just six SAC men's players to score multiple goals in the season's opening week.

Foil, meanwhile, led Queens to a pair of victories over Montevallo and Clayton St., giving the Royals a 2-0 start to their inaugural season as SAC members.
The forward scored two first-half goals and assisted on another in the second period in Queens' 3-1 season-opening victory over Montevallo on Thursday. She also attempted two shots on Saturday in a 2-1 overtime win at Clayton St.
Foil's five total points and two goals are currently tied for the conference lead.
