The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for the 2014 SAC Men's Soccer Championship

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate won its first South Atlantic Conference Regular-Season Championship since 2010 as it captured the 2014 Title.  With the crown, the Bulldogs have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Championship, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded this afternoon.  Wingate finished the season with an 8-2-1 League mark for 25 points.

Mars Hill claimed the No. 2 seed as it turned in an 8-3-0 Conference record and 24 points.  At the No. 3 seed was Carson-Newman, who finished the Conference season at 6-3-2 for 20 points.  Lenior-Rhyne rounds out the list of teams who will host a quarterfinal game as it posted a 6-4-1 SAC record and 19 points.  Anderson landed at the No. 5 position with its 6-5-0 League record and 18 points.  Tusculum's 5-4-2 League record and 17 points were good for the No. 6 slot.  Lincoln Memorial and Coker turned in identical 4-4-3 League records and 15 points.  The Railsplitters earned the No. 7 seed by virtue of the tiebreaker, leaving Coker at No. 8.

The 2014 South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Championship quarterfinals will be played at campus sites on Tuesday, Nov. 4 before moving to Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C. for the semifinals and finals on Nov. 7 and 9.   The Conference Championship schedule is as follows:
