The South Atlantic Conference Posts Six Soccer Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings, Nov. 6
The South Atlantic Conference posted five women’s and one men’s team in the NCAA Regional Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Lenoir-Rhyne, Wingate, Newberry, Catawba and Lincoln Memorial represented the League in the women’s Southeast Regional Rankings, while Wingate was the lone men’s team from the SAC in the Southeast.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted five women's and one men's team in the NCAA Regional Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Lenoir-Rhyne, Wingate, Newberry, Catawba and Lincoln Memorial represented the League in the women's Southeast Regional Rankings, while Wingate was the lone men's team from the SAC in the Southeast.
Lenoir-Rhyne is currently 14-3-1 overall to rank No. 2 in the Southeast Region. Wingate's 10-1-2 overall record was good for No. 5. Newberry came in at No. 6 with its 10-3-3 overall mark, while Catawba was close behind at No. 7 with an 11-5-2 record. Lincoln Memorial rounds out the list for the SAC at No. 9 as it is 8-4-2 overall this season.
The Bulldog men are currently third in the Southeast Region with an 11-3-1 record.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer Committees up to the NCAA Championship selections.
