The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, Sept. 6

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson Midfielder Brad Du Plooy has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Aug. 29 – Sept. 4, the League announced today.

 

Du Plooy, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, totaled one goal, one assist and three points during his two games played. Du Plooy scored the opening goal for Anderson in the 72nd minute on a free kick as Anderson went on to win the contest against Lees-McRae, 2-1 in double overtime. Du Plooy also recorded an assist in his next game in a 2-1 win at home against Peach Belt opponent Flagler. This victory moves Anderson to 2-0 on the season. The award is his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
