The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, Sept. 12
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial Forward Danilo da Silva has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for games played Sep. 5 – Sept. 11, the League announced today.
Da Silva, a senior from Brazil, tallied two goals and one assist during the week and led Lincoln Memorial to a 3-1 start on the season. Da Silva's performance helped lead Lincoln Memorial to wins against Southern Wesleyan and Young Harris. On September 10th against Young Harris, Da Silva scored in the 14th minute off of an assist from Victor Peres. Da Silva would also record an assist on a goal in the 20th minute. Danilo da Silva currently leads the South Atlantic Conference in shots and ranks fourth in assists and fifth in goals and points. The award is his first Player of the Week plaudit of the season.
