The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the week of Oct. 2 through Oct. 8. Tusculum's Ayuk Tambe was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Lincoln Memorial's Caleb Cothrin was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week.

A senior forward from Yaounde, Cameroon, Tambe accounted for all three Pioneer goals in the victories over Carson-Newman and Newberry. He collected two goals and an assist during the week. Tambe has scored a goal in five of the last six Tusculum matches. This is Tambe's first Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Cothrin, a native of Lubbock, Texas, led the Railsplitters with shutouts over Mars Hill and Wingate. During the week, the junior goalkeeper made nine saves. This is Cothrin's first Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
