The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the fourth week of the 2021 season. Lenoir-Rhyne forward Noah Tiefel was named the offensive player of the week, while Limestone defender Andres Cabranes was named defensive player of the week.
Tiefel, a senior from Nuremburg, Germany, led the Bears to a 2-0 record last week with a 2-1 win over Barton and a 4-1 win over Anderson. He had an assist against Barton and recorded a hat trick in the Bear's win over Anderson. For the week he had three goals and an assist for seven points.
Cabranes, a senior from Gijon, Spain, played a key role in leading the Limestone Saints to a 2-0 victory over Wingate last week. The anchor of the SAC's top defensive team, Cabranes led the Saints to their third consecutive shutout victory, while also assisting on the game-winning goal.
