The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed in during the eleventh week of the 2023-24 season. Wingate's Lucie Andrews was named the Women's Swimmer of the Week while Catawba's Maks Minichowski was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Andrews, a junior from London, England, won two individual events as the No. 9 Bulldogs earned a 174-83 triumph over Barton on Saturday. Andrews touched first in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:56.25 and continued her success with a win in the 100 Freestyle, recording a time of 52.98.

Minichowski, a freshman from Lomianki Dolne, Poland, led the Catawba Indians to a dominant sweep over Lees-McRae and Chowan on Saturday afternoon. Minichowski recorded three first-place finishes, touching the wall first in the 50 Freestyle (20.76) and the 200 Breaststroke (2:03.85) individually, and combining with teammates Haut, Yus Fernandez, and Meszaros to win the 200 Medley Relay in 1:34.24.
