Wingate’s Hendrik Ternieden Named Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Hendrik Ternieden of Wingate University has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.

Ternieden, a 6-0 freshman from St. Peter-Ording, Germany, recorded a pair of wins in singles play for the Bulldogs. The St. Peter-Ording High School graduate topped Tim Morton of Coker College 6-7, 7-6, 10-8 (super tiebreaker) at No. 2 singles. He followed that with a 6-4, 6-0 against Justin Stuckey of Johnson C. Smith University at the No. 1 flight.

The SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
