Brevard’s MacNeil, LMU’s Donoff Tabbed SAC Tennis Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - For the second-straight week, Brevard's Sam MacNeil has been selected as the SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, while Lincoln Memorial's Leah Donoff received her second SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week Honor this season, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
MacNeil continues to shine for the Tornados, as the freshman earned four singles and four doubles victories last week. The three-time SAC Player of the Week started with straight-set wins over Catawba's Alex Macdonald and Mars Hill's Euquerio Guerrero earlier in the week. MacNeil capped off the week with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Lincoln Memorial's Philipp Hoffmann and a win over Tusculum's Lukas Winkelmann.
In the doubles round, MacNeil and teammate Beau Wills improved to 8-0 on the season at the No. 1 position. MacNeil currently holds a 17-4 overall doubles record.

Donoff was a key component to the Lady Railsplitters perfect 3-0 record on the week. The junior picked up three wins in both the singles and doubles rounds for the week, highlighted by a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 comeback victory over Tusculum's Holly Verner. Donoff also posted straight-set victories over Carson-Newman's Jennifer Ott and Brevard's Lindsay Hostetter, with all of the wins coming at the No. 1 spot.
The Tipp City, Ohio, native paired up with Sofia Lopez Mimendi and captured three doubles victories last week, improving their conference doubles record to 6-2 on the year.
