SAC Announces Date Change for 2014 Tennis Championship
The SAC on Thursday announced that the 2014 Food Lion SAC Tennis Championship will begin one day earlier than originally scheduled. The championship, which will take place in Rock Hill, S.C., is now slated to run April 16-18.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The SAC on Thursday announced that the 2014 Food Lion SAC Tennis Championship will begin one day earlier than originally scheduled. The championship, which will take place in Rock Hill, S.C., is now slated to run April 16-18.
In a decision approved by the SAC tennis coaches committee this week, the start of the championship was altered to allow for a potential inclement weather day on Saturday, April 19 that would not interfere with the Easter holiday.
Men's and women's quarterfinals will be played Wednesday, April 16, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, April 17 and the finals on Friday, April 18. All matches of the championship will be held at the Rock Hill Tennis Center.
The Lincoln Memorial men and Wingate women are the event's defending champions.
