ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the second year in a row, Tusculum's Lukas Winkelmann has been voted as the SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, headlining Tuesday's announcement of the conference's award winners.
Winkelmann is the first SAC men's tennis student-athlete to earn Player of the Year honors in consecutive seasons since Elon's Danny Colangelo in 1995 and 1996. Also receiving selections to the doubles First Team are Coker's duo of Staab and James Corfield, and Wingate's tandem of Neal Towlson and Sebastian Hall. Stabb and Corfied are 11-5 overall and 10-1 in the SAC, while Towlson and Hall combined to go 13-9 overall and 8-3 in league play.
Making up the All-SAC Singles Second Team are Jonas Winkelmann, Hall, Queens' Per-Erik Soler, Mars Hill's Euquerio Guerrero, Wingate's Filippo Pezzoli and Lenoir-Rhyne's Robin Hochguertel. Anderson's Carracedo and Meteo Rivas, Wingate's Ryan Forbes and Connor Kudrick, and Queens' Per-Erik Soler and Jules Athalis form the doubles Second Team.
