The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, Feb. 8

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial's Joshua Peress has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 1-7, the League announced today.

Peress, a sophomore from Montreal, Quebec, went undefeated in singles and doubles play last week for the Railsplitters.  He highlighted his week with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 win in his singles flight against Division I Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 6.  He also picked up a doubles win vs. Eastern Kentucky as he and partner Pepe Batalla posted a 6-4 win at the No. 2 flight.  The next day, Peress notched a straight-set 6-1, 6-2 win against Union as he and Batalla won 8-5 in doubles play.  The award is his first Player of the Week selection this season.
