Wingate and Tusculum Earn Bids to NCAA Men's Tennis Southeast Regional
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Wingate Bulldogs earned the No. 4 seed, while the Tusculum Pioneers earned the No. 5 seed in the upcoming NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Southeast Regional. The Bulldogs and the Pioneers will face-off in the opening round on Friday, May 7 at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia.
Wingate won the SAC regular-season championship and Tusculum earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by winning the South Atlantic Conference tournament title.
The winner of Friday's match between the Pioneers and Bulldogs will advance to the semifinals on Saturday against Columbus State.
Lander is the No. 2 seed in the region and will play Saturday in the semifinals against the winner of the other first-round match between No. 3 North Georgia and No. 6 Mount Olive. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday for the region championship, with a spot in the NCAA Championships at Surprise, Arizona May 18-20 to the winner.
