The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Cross Country Runners of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Cross Country Runners of the Week for meets competed in during the fifth week of the 2024 season. Lincoln Memorial's Grace Rose was named the Women's Runner of the Week while Lenoir-Rhyne's Jacob Parkinson was named the Men's Runner of the Week.
Rose, a senior from Ewing, Va., finished in 10th place at the Charger Invitational. She beat 269 runners in the 6k in a time of 21:17.9. Rose currently holds the fastest 6k time in the region.
Parkinson finished fifth at the Queens Royals Challenge. The senior from England ran the fastest DII time of 24:08.30.
