10 SAC Student-Athletes Named to 2021 D2CCA Softball All-Southeast Region Teams

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The votes have been counted and the region's sports information directors have selected the 2021 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Softball All-Southeast Region teams. The South Atlantic Conference had four honorees on first Team and six on second Team.

Fourteen student-athletes from eight different schools earned All-Southeast Region First Team distinction this season. On first team from Lincoln Memorial, second baseman Ty-Kella Goins, designated player Audrey Petoskey and pitcher Emma Frost. Also on first team was Wingate third baseman Heaven Maness. On second team from Tusculum was outfielder Anna Alloway and utility player Emily Sappington. From Anderson was first baseman Kayson Boatner and pitcher Harlie Duncan. Rounding out the SAC honorees on second team is Newberry third baseman Hannah Towery and Lincoln Memorial's shortstop Sierra Hucklebee.

The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) had 13 honorees on the two teams, while the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) had 10 and Conference Carolinas five.

The first team selections will move on to the All-America ballot. The D2CCA All-America programs honor student-athletes in Division II athletic programs. The mission of the CCA is to encourage and promote Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education.

The voting, nomination and calculations are all conducted by the school's sports information directors. The teams are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association.
