Four SAC Softball Players Named to 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America® DII Teams
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - The 2020-21 Academic All-America® Division II Softball Teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), were announced today. Lenoir-Rhyne's Talon LaClair, Tusculum's Anna Alloway and Catawba's Sydney Goertzen were all second team honorees while, Carson-Newman's KaraLynne Levi made her way onto third team.
Twenty-three of the 33 members of the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Softball teams have at least a 3.80 GPA, with six student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.88.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Softball teams feature nine repeat performers, including Cornick. Hallie Waters (University of Indianapolis), Jordyn Kleman (Winona State University), and Talon LaClair (Lenoir-Rhyne University) are now three-time Academic All-America® selections, while Bri Garber (West Chester University), Logan Hill (Valdosta State University), Alison Nowak (Winona State University), KaraLynne Levi (Carson-Newman University), and Anna Alloway (Tusculum University) - from previous CoSIDA Academic All-America® teams.
