The South Atlantic Conference Posts Four Squads in the NCAA Women's Basketball Southeast Rankings
NCAA D-II Women's Basketball Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted four teams in the NCAA Southeast Regional Women's Basketball Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Lincoln Memorial came in at No. 3 in the rankings, while Wingate currently sits at No. 6. Anderson is No. 7 in the Southeast Region and Carson-Newman wraps up the list for the South Atlantic Conference at No. 10.
The Railsplitters are currently ranked No. 11 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Poll and sport a record of 23-3 in the Southeast Region.
Wingate is 22-5 in Southeast Region play and the Trojans are 21-5 in the Southeast Region. Carson-Newman owns an 18-9 Southeast Region record.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
