Carson-Newman's Price Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman guard Haris Price has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 15-21, the League announced today.

Price, a junior from Gatlinburg, Tenn., led the No. 9 Eagles to a perfect 2-0 week with victories over Lincoln Memorial and Newberry. She started the week with a career-high 38 points and nine assists in Carson-Newman's 105-90 win over Lincoln Memorial. Price then scored 12 points with three rebounds, four assists and four steals in the Eagle's 90-53 win over Newberry.

For the week, Price averaged 25 points with 2.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.5 steals.

This is Price's third Player of the Week selection this year.
