Carson-Newman and Tusculum Women's Basketball Ranked in Both the WBCA and D2SIDA National Polls
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - Tusculum and Carson-Newman remain ranked in this week's D2SIDA National Women's Basketball Poll. They are both also ranked in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) who released their first Top 25 coaches' poll of the season today.
The Pioneers who are 11-1 in conference play are ranked at No.13 while the Eagles, 7-1 in conference play, are at No. 22 in the D2SIDA National Poll. The two teams are placed in exactly the opposite ranks in the WBCA poll with, Carson-Newman at No. 13 and Tusculum at No. 22.
The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its seventh season of existence. During the season, the regional polls are released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Here are this week's polls:
The WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches Poll Committee is composed of one head coach from each of the 23 NCAA Division II conferences.
