Carson-Newman's Wykle Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the fifteenth week of the 2021-21 season, Carson-Newman's Braelyn Wykle earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A junior guard, Wykle, helped lead the Eagles to a 3-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 25 points, three rebounds, six three-pointers and three assists in their win over Queens while garnering 16 points, one three-pointer and four rebounds in their victory over the Lions. She ended the week by tallying 22 points, three rebounds, four three-pointers and one assist in a win over Limestone. Overall, the Greeneville, Tenn., native averaged 58.1 percent from the floor, 21.0 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, 3.8-for-8.3 three-pointers per game and 1.3 assists per game. This is Wykle's second Player of the Week honor this season.
