UVA-Wise's Johnson Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –The South Atlantic Conference announced the AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the sixteenth week of the 2021-21 season, UVA-Wise's Kalee Johnson earns this week's Player of the Week honor.

A senior forward, Johnson, helped lead the Cavaliers to a 2-0 record this past weekend. She picked up 11 points, 10 rebounds and two assists in their win over Tusculum while garnering 23 points, three three-pointers and 17 rebounds in their victory over the Catawba Indians. Overall, the Elizabethton, Tenn., native averaged 44.0 percent from the floor, 17.0 points per game, 13.5 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game. This is Johnson's first Player of the Week honor this season.
