Mars Hill's Gillie Named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Mars Hill's Maddie Gillie has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the twelfth week of the 2023-34 season, the Conference announced today.

Gillie, a junior from Rutherfordton, N.C., set a career-high 32 points and tied the Mars Hill school record with nine made three-pointers in Wednesday's win over Tusculum. She also added five rebounds, two assists and two turnovers in the contest. Gillie then followed by netting her 1,000^th career point and recorded over 30 points for the second consecutive game in the victory versus UVA Wise. She also added seven rebounds and a block.
