Limestone's Martinez Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Golfer of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone's Pilar Martinez was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Golfer of the Week for events played during week one of the 2021 season, the Conference office announced today.

Martinez, a senior from Malaga, Spain, led the Saints to a tournament championship at the World Golf Invitational last week, and earned tournament medalist honors. She fired a two-round total of 144, carding rounds of 72 each day of the tournament to capture her second career tournament victory.

This is Martinez's first SAC Women's Golfer of the Week award of the season. The bi-monthly award is awarded to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
