Limestone's Martinez Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Golfer of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone's Pilar Martinez was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Golfer of the Week for events played during weeks two and three of the 2021 season, the Conference office announced today. 

Martinez, a senior from Malaga, Spain, led the No. 3 Saints to a tournament championship at the Low Tide Intercollegiate and a second place finish at the 2021 Lady Moc Golf Classic. In doing so, she earned her two top-five finishes, placing second at the Low Tide and third at the Lady Moc. She carded rounds of 73, 74, and 75 at the Low Tide, while shooting rounds of 73, 70, and 74 at the Lady Moc.

This is Martinez's second SAC Women's Golfer of the Week award of the season. The bi-monthly award is awarded to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
