Anderson's Rathbone Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Golfer of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Jessica Rathbone was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Golfer of the Week for events played during week one of the 2021-22 season, the Conference office announced today.

Rathbone, a sophomore from Montpelier, Va., took home medalist honors and led the No. 7 Trojans to a second place finish as a team at the South Regional Preview. She carded rounds of 70 (-2), 74 (+2), and 69 (-3) to finish the tournament with a program record 213 (-3). Rathbone won the event after overcoming a three-stroke deficient in the final round and forcing a playoff.

This is Rathbone's first SAC Women's Golfer of the Week award of the season. The bi-monthly award is awarded to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
