Anderson's Gooding Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Golfer of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Kennedy Gooding was named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Women's Golfer of the Week for events played during the third and fourth weeks of the 2023 spring season, the Conference office announced today.

Gooding, a freshman from Lexington, S.C., led the Trojans to a first place finish as a team at the Low Tide Intercollegiate. In addition to the team title, Gooding picked up medalist honors with a three-round average of 67.6, posting rounds of 69, 66, and 68. The 203, 54-hole total is a program record for Anderson.

The bi-monthly award is awarded to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
