Anderson Leads Field After Day One of Women's Golf Super Regional
CLEVELAND, TENN. -- The Anderson Trojans have a 12-shot lead over Saint Leo after day one of the 2024 South Super Regional hosted at the Cleveland Country Club on Monday afternoon. Despite a weather delay, the Trojans were unfazed and fired a 282 (-6) to take a commanding lead after the first day.
SAC Golfer of the Year Kennedy McGaha is in a first-place tie after shooting a 68 (-4), drawing even with Flagler's Stella Jelinek. AU teammates Jessica Rathbone and Kennedy Gooding are tied in fourth-place individually with a 71 (-1) after the first 18 holes of play.
Wingate sits in seventh place out of 12 schools with a 302 (+14). Limestone is in 11th with a round score of 312 (+24).
Charlotte Colley and Lauren Martin, two of the SAC's individuals, are tied in 17th place with a 74 (+2).
Day two of competition tees off tomorrow morning.
