Anderson Women's Golf in Tenth After Day One of NCAA Championships
Winter Garden, Fla. -- After the first day of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships, the Anderson Trojans sit in tenth place in the 18-team field. The Trojans fired a 296 (+8) on the par-72, 6,003-yard course at Orange County National on Tuesday afternoon.
Anderson was paced by SAC Women's Golfer of the Year Kennedy McGaha, who also won Southeast Regional Golfer of the Year honors, as she sits in 11th place with a 71 (-1). McGaha had four birdies on the day. Kennedy Gooding was second on the squad with a 74 (+2) after 18 holes.
Anderson sits just one shot out of eighth place after today's action. The Trojans will look to climb the leaderboard with a 10 a.m. tee time tomorrow.
