SAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards Honor Lenoir-Rhyne’s Wach, Wingate’s Lynch
The SAC has announced its women’s lacrosse weekly awards for matches played March 10-16, recognizing Lenoir-Rhyne midfielder Claire Wach and Wingate keeper Jayda Lynch.

SAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week | Claire Wach, Lenoir-Rhyne
Wach totaled 11 goals and three assists last week as Lenoir-Rhyne split SAC matches with Newberry and Queens.
Wach opened her week with five goals and two assists on Monday in L-R's conference-opening 17-13 victory over Newberry. Then on Friday, the sophomore tallied six goals and an assist as the Bears fell at Queens, 15-9.
She also posted seven ground balls, nine draw controls and three caused turnovers on the week, and now ranks second in the SAC in assists with eight.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week | Jayda Lynch, Wingate
Lynch limited Brevard to seven goals and stopped seven shots on Saturday, leading Wingate to a 22-7 win over the Tornados. The freshman made saves on 50-percent of BC's shots-on-goal.
This season, Lynch is second in the SAC with a save percentage of 47.7, and her 46 goals against are the third-fewest of any qualifying keeper in the conference.
