ROCK HILL, S.C. – Catawba midfielder Ebony Mills and Queens defender Bridgette Larranaga have been voted as the SAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for matches played March 31-April 6.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week | Ebony Mills, Catawba
Mills tallied eight goals and four assists last week, leading Catawba to a 3-0 record. She had multiple goals in all three contests, including hat tricks on Wednesday at Erskine and on Saturday at Coker.
The senior also recorded 18 ground balls, 14 draw controls and five caused turnovers on the week. She is currently tied for ninth in the SAC with 24 goals this season.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week | Bridgette Larranaga, Queens
Larranaga helped Queens limit Newberry to just five goals in Thursday's SAC matchup by recording six ground balls, three caused turnovers and one draw control. Queens won the match 18-5.
On the season, Larranaga is 10th in the conference with 27 draw controls and 16th in goals with 16.
