Queens’ Ready, Coker’s Durden Earn SAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors
Queens attacker Jena Ready and Coker defender Marabeth Durden have been named the final SAC Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week of the 2014 season, it was announced on Monday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Queens attacker Jena Ready and Coker defender Marabeth Durden have been named the final SAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week of the 2014 season, it was announced on Monday.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week | Jena Ready, Queens
Ready tallied nine goals and two ground balls last week as Queens notched league wins at Catawba and Queens by a combined score of 33-7. She scored four times on Wednesday in a 12-4 win at Catawba, then followed with five goals on Saturday in a 21-3 victory at Brevard.
On the season, Ready ranks third in the SAC with 47 goals and fifth in points with 53.
SAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week | Marabeth Durden, Coker
Durden recorded a total of 12 draw controls, four ground balls and four caused turnovers last week as Coker won at Brevard and fell at Newberry. She also scored two goals on Wednesday in the win over BC.
Durden finished the regular season tied for sixth in the conference with 46 draw controls.
