The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the eleventh weekend of the 2021 season. UVA Wise's Jesse French took the offensive honor and Wingate's Megan Biase took the defensive honor.
French, a senior attacker, Dumfries, Va., helped the Cavaliers to a 3-0 record on the week, totaling five points on five assists, in their 13-7 win over Tusculum. She went on to dish out three goals for eight points, five assists, two caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 15-6 win against Lenoir-Rhyne. French ended the week scoring two goals for nine points, seven assists and one ground ball in a 17-0 win over Coker. This is French's third Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
A sophomore goalie Biase, helped the Bulldogs secure a 23-7 win over Tusculum this past week. Nesconset, N.Y., native spent all 60 minutes between the posts totaling nine saves for a 56.3 save percentage. This is Biase's third Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
