Three SAC Women's Lacrosse Teams Ranked in NCAA South Region Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had three schools ranked in the NCAA South Region Women's Lacrosse poll released by the NCAA on Wednesday (Apr. 21). Limestone, Wingate and Queens are all under consideration for this year's NCAA South Region Championship.
In addition to the three SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, there were three other schools under consideration: Lee (Tennessee), Tampa and Mount Olive.
For this week's rankings and next week's rankings, teams will be listed as under consideration in alphabetical order. Teams will be listed in rank order for the final regional rankings on May 5.
Limestone has a 10-1 record, Wingate is 11-2, and Queens is 10-1.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
