The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played in the fifth weekend of the 2022 season. Newberry's Chole Wood took the offensive honor and Queens Caroline Kraemer took the defensive honor.
Wood, a Senior midfielder, from Alberta, Canada, helped the wolves to a 4-1 record on the fifth week, totaling 11 points on seven goals, four assists, eight draw controls, one turnover and one caused turn over in their 25-9 win over Emmanuel. This is Woods first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Kraemer, a Sophomore goalie from Oceanside, NY., helped the Royals secure a 10-9 win against Tampa this past week. She played 60 minutes between the posts with seven saves for a 52.6% save percentage and saved 10 goals.This is Kraemer's second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
