LMU’s Sarah Taylor Named Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. ­- Lincoln Memorial University midfielder Sarah Taylor is this week's South Atlantic Conference women's soccer Player of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday afternoon.

Taylor, a junior from Ajax, Ontario, Canada, scored four goals in a pair of wins for the Lady Railsplitters last week.

She scored both goals against the Tornado in LMU's 2-0 win over King and had two goals in the Lady Railsplitter's 3-1 victory over Newberry College.

Now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in South Atlantic Conference play, the Lady Railsplitters are off to their best start since the 2004 season when they began the year with an 8-0 record. This week the LMU women travel to Wilmore, Kentucky to take on non-conference NAIA opponent Asbury College before chasing the Tornados of Brevard College on Saturday in Brevard, North Carolina.
