Wingate’s Montgomery, Lenoir-Rhyne Alequine Selected to NSCAA All-America Team
Wingate forward Jade Montgomery and Lenoir-Rhyne forward Garcelle Alequine have been named to the NSCAA Women’s Soccer All-America Third Team, it was announced on Friday.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Wingate forward Jade Montgomery and Lenoir-Rhyne forward Garcelle Alequine have been named to the NSCAA Women's Soccer All-America Third Team, it was announced on Friday.
Montgomery – the SAC Player of the Year – led the conference in numerous offensive categories, including goals with 17, assists with 11, points with 45 and shots with 117. She guided Wingate to the 2013 Food Lion SAC Championship title and an eventual spot in the NCAA Championship national quarterfinals.
Alequine, meanwhile, ranked second in the SAC with nine goals and 23 points. Her strong play helped Lenoir-Rhyne win the conference's regular-season title and earn a spot in the NCAA Championship.
