Four Teams Under Consideration in First Round of Women's Soccer Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) -- The NCAA announced the first round of Regional Rankings for women's soccer this afternoon. The first round of rankings list all teams under consideration at this point in alphabetical order. The following rankings will be numerical.
Under consideration from the South Atlantic Conference are: Catawba, Lenoir-Rhyne, Lincoln Memorial and Wingate. The Bears and Catawba Indians are ranked No. 9 and 19 respectively in the United Soccer Coaches national rankings, which came out yesterday.
The regional rankings are what the NCAA uses to select the NCAA Tournament field. The women's soccer regional rankings will be announced weekly on Wednesday afternoon.
