Matthews, NC - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team knocks the #1 seed Wingate out of the SAC tournament as they defeat the Wingate Bullsogs 5-4 in the semifinals, advancing to the SAC championship game for the first time since 2019.
This was one of the highest scoring games this season for the Lady Railsplitters, with 9 goals being scored from both teams combined. The first half was silent compared to the second half, with Alicia Bevins scoring the lone goal of the first half in the 28th minute with an assist from Ryan Branson.
Lenoir-Rhyne 3, Anderson 1
MATTHEWS, NC - Freshman Lilly Soltz took full advantage of the moment on Friday, scoring two second half goals to lead the Bears to a 3-1 win over Anderson in the SAC semifinals. Assisting her on both goals was none other than Evan O'Leary, who brings her career total to 29 assists.
Prior to the game, Kara Gavaghan was honored with the SAC Elite 23 Award for having the highest GPA of any individual competing at the conference championships.
