ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) -- Kylie Morin scored the golden goal in the 98th minute to send the Catawba Indians to a SAC Women's Soccer Tournament Championship. For Morin, who was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player, it was her second goal of the game and seventh of the season.
Anderson wasted little time getting on the board first as Carly Keuffer found the back of the net just 126 seconds into the match.
That goal was the only tally of the first half as the teams went into the break with the Trojans holding a narrow margin.
Morin would score the equalizer in the 60th minute. However, the Trojans would come back just under 20 minutes later as Madison Bowling took a perfect ball from Kaitlyn Gregory to beat the keeper and the Trojans regained the lead at 2-1.
The SAC Offensive Player of the Year struck in a crucial moment as Catawba's Bree Ehmer tied the game in the 83rd minute to send the game into overtime.
Morin's game-winner came off a deflected attempt and beat the keeper with a perfectly placed shot.
For the game, Catawba had a 15-11 advantage in shots and an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. Each team had three corner kicks.
Catawba earns the automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament. The rest of the field will be announced Monday night.
