Catawba's Ehmer Earns USC First Team All-American honors
Kansas City, Mo. — Catawba College junior Bree Ehmer earned her second First Team All-America honors of the week on Thursday afternoon when the United Soccer Coaches announced its All-America teams, making her a unanimous First Team All-America selection.
Ehmer adds USC First Team All-America honors to D2CCA First Team All-America and Ron Lenz National Player of the Year honors. The unanimous All-America distinction makes her just the second Catawba Indian to earn multiple First Team All-America honors in the same season, joining Sydney Jimmo in 2023.
The South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year racked up 20 goals, including seven game-winners, along with six assists for a total of 46 points, which ranked second in the country. Her 46 points in a season trailed just McKenzie Burman's 51-point season in 2005 for the most in program history.
Ehmer also earned USC First Team All-Region honors, the first time she's earned First Team All-Region honors with the United Coaches, but the third time in as many years she's earned All-Region recognition from the organization.
