Three SAC Women's Swimmers Earn CSC Academic All-American
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Three student-athletes from the South Atlantic Conference were named to the 2024-25 Division II Women's Swimming & Diving Academic All-America® Teams, the College Sports Communicators announced.
Catawba's Marit Reckmann earned First Team Academic All-America® honors. A junior biology major, Reckmann holds a perfect 4.00 GPA and has been a key contributor for the Catawba women's program both in the classroom and the pool.
Carson-Newman's Emma Bowling was named to the Second Team, marking her second consecutive Academic All-America® selection. Bowling, a junior interior design major, maintains a 4.00 GPA.
Catawba sophomore Fiona Byrne earned a spot on the Second Team as well, joining Reckmann in giving the Catawba program multiple Academic All-America® honorees. Byrne, who is double majoring in biology and psychology, also boasts a perfect 4.00 GPA.
