LMU’s Ann-Sophie Indeherberge Named Women’s Tennis Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, SC -- Lincoln Memorial University's Ann-Sophie Indeherberge has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending April 5, 2010.
Indeherberge, a senior from ZonHoven, Belgium (Midwestern State), went a perfect 6-0 last week, 3-0 at No. 3 singles and 3-0 at No. 1 doubles, improving her record to 14-0 for the season in singles and 12-2 in doubles.
She picked up two wins in LMU's key 5-4 victory over Tusculum to remain in the chase for the conference championship.
She defeated Lenoir-Rhyne's Mariel Mena 6-1, 6-0, Milligan's
Jessie Rose Remegi 6-0, 6-1 and Tusculum's Taylor Patterson 6-0,
6-2. With partner Sofia Lopez Mimendi, she defeated Lenoir-Rhyne's
Kelsey Love and Ivey Tant 8-1, Milligan's Caitlin Conley and Jessie
Rose Remegi 8-1, and Tusculum's Caroline Crowe and Taylor Patterson
8-4.
