The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, Feb. 8

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Andrea Ternera has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played the opening week of the season, the League announced today.

 

Ternera, a junior from Bogota, Columbia, went 2-0 in singles play last week, including a victory at Division I Campbell. Terenera opened her season with a 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 win at Campbell in four singles. She teamed with Caroline Holland for a 6-3 setback at three doubles. Ternera picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at number two singles Sunday against J.C. Smith.
