The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, March 29

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Rebecca Bruning has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 7-13, the League announced today.

Bruning, a junior from Athens, Ga. was 5-1 on the week for the Trojans at the No. 2 spot.  Bruning moved into the No. 45 spot for singles player in the nation and No. 10 singles player in the Southeast Region.  Also, Bruning and partner Ivey Welborn are ranked No. 9 in the Southeast Region in doubles action at the No. 1 spot. In singles play, Bruning (14-2) was 3-0 on the week winning her ninth match in a row.  In doubles play, Bruning (12-5) was 2-1 on the week narrowly losing to L-R?s tandem 9-7 (8-6).
