Newberry's Gonzalez Agud Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry's Judit Gonzalez Agud has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during the first week of the 2021 season, the Conference announced today.

Gonzalez Agud, a junior from Barcelona, Spain, led the Wolves to a 6-1 season-opening victory over Southern Wesleyan last week. She took home the win at No. 1 singles defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-7, 7-6, and was victorious at No. 1 doubles with partner Elisa Aguirre, winning 6-2.

This is Gonzalez Agud's first Player of the Week selection this season.
